Your Maternity Experience
When should I schedule my maternity session?
Maternity sessions are typically photographed between 28–34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully defined but you’re still comfortable enough for posing. Every pregnancy is different, so we’ll choose the timing that works best for you.
Where can my maternity session take place?
Every maternity session is customized around the look you want. Your session can take place in my professional stand-alone studio, outdoors on my studio property, or at another location. We can keep it simple and timeless or create something bold and dramatic. Outdoor sessions are generally scheduled close to sunset for the most beautiful light.
Can my partner and children be included?
Absolutely! Your maternity session is about celebrating your growing family, so your partner and children are welcome to be included. We can photograph you alone as well as create beautiful images with the people who are sharing this chapter with you. There is no additional fee for including your immediate family.
Do you provide maternity gowns?
Yes! My studio has a collection of maternity gowns, fabrics and styling pieces available for you to use during your session. We can create anything from soft and timeless to bold and dramatic. You’re also welcome to bring your own outfits, and I’ll help you plan a variety of looks that photograph beautifully.
Is hair and makeup available?
Yes! Hair and makeup are not included in the session price, but I can recommend a professional if you’d like to add that to your experience. Just let me know when booking and I’ll be happy to share her information.
Where is your studio located?
My professional photography studio is located in Laurel Hill, Florida, in Walton County, just north of Crestview. The studio is a separate, dedicated photography building — not a room inside my home — with space designed specifically for portrait sessions. I also photograph maternity sessions outdoors on my studio property and on location throughout Crestview, Niceville, Fort Walton Beach, Destin, 30A and the Emerald Coast.
